The Narcissists Greatest Fears
If you want to know how to break a narcissist then you first need to know what they fear. They do have weak points like everyone does, but they are typically exceptional at keeping their weak points concealed. If you are looking to destroy your narcissist then you an start here:
- The narcissist fears rejection. They despise it as it totally destabilizes the notion that they are the center of the world by invalidating them. They work hard to keep up appearances and flat out public rejection brings out those feelings of inferiority and unloveability.
- The narcissist fears humiliation and embarrassment in the worst ways. The narcissist will do anything to shift humility. If you catch them off guard in the public with something embarrassing — especially if it is a function where they are unable to leave — you can deliver a crippling blow.
- Just make sure you do it towards the end of the engagement so that way they have to go home without being consoled by anyone. If it’s early in the event then they will have people comforting them. Do it at a time that they have to go home and stew in it.
- Fear of Failure — Narcissists fear failure for being exposed as ordinary. Load them up with tasks that they are unable to finish and this will erode at their self worth in the worst way.
- Fear of being Exposed — The narcissist fears being seen as they truly are, riddled with insecurity and filled with flaws. While you’re reminding them of that make sure you point out how abusive they are in front of other people.
- Fear of Death — the fear of no longer existing weighs deeper on the narcissist than most. It’s a reminder that they aren’t entitled enough to cheat death.
- Fear of not being admired — The idea of being treated with disdain and disgust and not being the center of attention is another way to erode their sense of well being and make them fragile and broken.
- Fear of Loss of Control — The narcissist needs to feel in control of their environment and if they are not then that feeling of being unable to affect change and unable to control what happens to them reminds them of their childhood and it can break their spirit. They need control to feel save and without it they are on the frayed edge.
